Mekong River

 Mekong River is of the river in Cambodia that has many kinds of fish and one of the tourist destinations to visit when they go to Siem Reap. Mekong River is also one of the seven longest rivers in the Southeast Asia that go through China, Burma, laos, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Mekong River is very famous river that have lots of fish that make the live of Cambodian people depend on fishing for living and also a one of the water road for the tourist to go to Siem Reap province. Along the Mekong River there also has a lot of the floating village that is the house of the fisherman in Mekong River. Mekong River is also play a very important role in Cambodia because Mekong River is one of the biggest fresh water supplies for Cambodia.  

Wat Phnom

Wat Phnom (mountain pagoda) was one of the best tourist site destinations for the tourist to visit in Phnom Penh. Wat Phnom was found by Daun Penh, a wealthy widow and was building in 1373.When Daun Penh found four bronze statues of the Buddha in the koki tree floating in the river because of this she build Wat Phnom and the pagoda in the top of Wat Phnom to the four Buddha that she found in the koki tree by the river. So because of this Wat Phnom has been became one of the best site for the international and for the citizen of Cambodia to visit expressly the pagoda at the top of wat Phnom.  

Phnom Penh City

Phnom Penh city is the capital and largest city of Cambodia that Located on the banks of the Mekong River. Phnom Penh has been the national capital city of Cambodia since the French colonized in Cambodia and has grown to become the nation's center of economic and industrial activities, as well as the center of security, politics, economics, cultural heritage, and diplomacy of Cambodia. Phnom Penh is also one of the best sites for the tourist to come and visited every year especially Riverside and Wat Phnom. There also has a lot of change and many activities that happen or take place in Phnom Penh such as business trading, many new building, and a lot of investment that come from many other countries.

Khmer silk

  Khmer silk was found in the early first century in the Angkor period. In this period Khmer silk played in a very significant role in Cambodian culture. In Angkor period Khmer silk is very expensive that only a rich family or the royal can afford to have Khmer silk as their cloth. Also in this period Khmer silk was used as a trade for land and slaves. However now a day Khmer silk is not as popular as before, but the price of Khmer silk is still expensive as before and Khmer silk has been selling the other country with a very high price because of this Khmer silk is very popular in the rural provinces. Now a day Cambodia's modern silk-weaving centers are Takeo, Battambang, Beanteay Meanchey, Siem Reap and Kampot provinces.

Animals nearly gone extinct because of hunting

Animal shouldn’t be used for the sport and research because all of these animals also have their right to live too. We human shouldn’t be killed the animal for fun or hunt for their hides and fur because of us human some kind of the animals is nearly going to be extinct in the future. But if it was for the research to find a new medical we could at lease use some of the animal that can give birth quickly and have a lot of baby like mouse to do the experiment on. Animals should be kept in zoos, trained to perform in circuses, trained to help people with disabilities or kept as a pet because some of the animals are very adorable and loyal to their owner. There also have some animals that can be human best friend such as dog. They are very good natured, adorable, and loyal to the owner because of this a lot of people like to have a dog as their pet or as a police dog. Some other animals also could help with the old people who has not thing to do with and make them have something to do in their boring times or to make them have some fun with the animals. We could also put the animal in the zoo for the people to go look at with all of the wild animals that they could not go and look at the forest themselves or we could trained some of the animals to perform something for the people to look at in the circuses or the animals show in the zoo instance of kill the animal for their furs or hides.

Mondulkiri Province

Mondulkiri province is one of the famous sites in Cambodia for the Eco-tourism because of it well knows forested hills and powerful waterfalls. Every year there are many tourists going to visit Mondulkiri province because in Mondulkiri province there have many waterfalls fothe tourist to visit those waterfalls are Senmonorom Waterfall, Romnea Waterfall, and the famous one is Bou Sra Waterfall that is located at Pich Chinda District, 43 kilometers from Senmonorom town, Bou Sra is the largest waterfall in Mondulkiri province. But now days there are also many problems in Mondulkiri province such as Land grabbing and illegal logging because of the forest in Mondulkiri province is not like before. But still there are many tourist visits Mondulkiri province every years not only for the water fall but also the forests.

Koh Kong

 

Koh Kong is a great place for tourism because of three reasons. First, Koh Kong has a lot of places for tourism to visit. For example, Koh Kong zoo have a lot animals to see and there are also an animal’s show for the visitors to watch. If you think this is not enough you can also go to visit Thailand because Koh Kong zoo is very near Thailand. Second, Koh Kong also has a lot of nature places to visit too. For example, there many bleaches and waterfalls or maybe you can go camping in the mountain. Finally, Koh Kong also famous for their foods and there is a lot of fresh sea foods and cheaper than Phnom Penh. You can also find many kind of Thai food at Koh Kong too. Indeed Koh Kong is a very wonderful place for tourism to visit.

The Great Khmer Empira

   In the near future there will be one Hollywood film that is going to shot in Cambodia. The title of this movie is the great Khmer empire and this movie is going to talk about the history of Cambodia in the Angkor period in the 12th century about one the great Khmer king name Jayavarman VII (reigned c.1181-1215).This movie is going to finish in the next three years from now and cost about 70 million dollar to finished this movie. When this movie is finished I think that it is going to be a big hit movie of the years.

Angkor Wat

    Angkor Wat is one of the biggest temple in Cambodia that is local in Siem reap province. Angkor Wat was building in the early 12 century, during the reign of the king suryavarman II (ruled 1113-1150) this temple was build as the king state temple and capital city of Cambodia. After the dead of king suryavarman II the building of Angkor Wat seem to have ended shortly leaving some of the bas-relief decoration unfinished (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angkor_wat). But in the 13 century Angkor Wat temple was finished by king suryavarman VII and changed form Hindu to Buddhist until today. So now a day Angkor Wat has became one of the best spot for the tourists to visit every year.

   Palm trees have been considered as a symbol of Cambodia since the Angkor Period, which means that all areas with palm trees growing on are counted as Cambodia's land. Palm trees provide people with various advantages. People use palm fruits to make sugar, dessert, juice and wine. Cambodia's palm juice is famous for its taste and quality and it is also an important source for exports. There is a famous Cambodian stew in which palm fruits are the unique of it taste. We even use the leaves of palm trees in some forms of handicraft. Some of those products are baskets, hand-fans, cake's packages, wagons for transportation, and they are used as a material to build houses. The practical use of palm trees is still employed by Cambodian people, especially by those who live in the rural areas.
